Formella Retail FAQ

Typically the shelf life of Enrico Formella brand products is 18 months if unopened. Oil based products once opened, are good for approximately 6 months as long as the product stays below the oil surface. These products can be refrigerated, but note that the oil will solidify when cold. It is best to bring the product to room temperature before using. Vinegar based products once opened, are good for approximately 3 months. These products are required to be refrigerated once opened.

We can ship anywhere in the continental United States. Hawaii and Alaska require additional shipping, please contact customer service at customerservice@formellagourmet.com to place an order going to this destination. Due to custom issues, unfortunately we are unable to ship outside the United States at this time.

UPS calculates the shipping rates for our products based on weight of shipment, destination and box dimensions.

We ship Monday through Friday via UPS. Most packages are sent UPS Ground. Perishable meat products will ship out only on Mondays through Wednesdays via UPS 2nd day. (Note: We will schedule your shipment to avoid sitting in a shipper’s warehouse over the weekend; so if you order on Friday with a 2-Day Air shipping option, we will hold your order until Monday so it does not spend Saturday and Sunday in an un-refrigerated warehouse). Depending on the season and destination, product cannot be expected in a frozen state. See Product FAQ’s for storage information.

We suggest picking a delivery location where you know somebody will be available, for example, his/her workplace. We cannot provide refunds for deliveries where no recipient was available.
